Favourite Spreads in The Travel Almanac FW18
Exploring Grunewald Forest
My favourite spreads and layouts from last years’ Fall/Winter Issue of The Travel Almanac. I bought this Issue because of the neat marbled paper cover, the features on both Torbjørn Rødland and Williams Gibson and was extremely impressed by the work of Amanda Charchian and the essay Algorithmic Citizenship by Marina Yurcheva. I couldn’t include all but here are a few of my favourite spreads - noted for their unique design, sequence and overall the work itself.

Joe and I have spent a past weekend in Grunewald, a forest region in South West Berlin. A heavy wooded area with wild pigs running across the path between cyclists. We usually take a flask of tea and coffee and find a quiet spot to enjoy our hot beverages. I took my camera with us last visit and found some interesting natural sculptures in the woods. These forms were probably created by the wind and weather. I’m thinking of exploring more of these natural forms.
